Dream or Reality! 😵

Today, while I was watching Discovery Science, *which I rarely do 😂* something interested me deeply. It was a really scary case about a 39-year-old woman. She had some heart disease, and one day, while she was in extreme stress, she drank too much before going to sleep. The next morning when she woke up, everything was different.

An aged looking man stated himself as her husband. She was stunned by the statement, and thought it was some kind of prank. But then he called a girl from the adjacent room and introduced her as their daughter! She couldn’t believe those people. How was it even possible? 

She tried to memorize what could have happened the last night, but was unable to remember anything. Her husband and daughter were puzzled too. They were trying their best to remind her that they were her family. But she resented. She said how could she have a big daughter when she was merely 39 years old!

The most scary part was when her husband told her that she wasn’t 39, infact she was a 62-year-old-lady. This left her completely blank. She was shattered and was unable to figure out if this was a dream or this was actually happening to her.

She couldn’t believe anything that was happening around. Those people seemed like total strangers to her.They were trying to calm her down, console her. But when they tried to come close, she pushed them away, cause she felt they were strangers, playing some prank on her. But when she saw herself in the mirror, she actually found a wrinkled-pale-old face. This was beyond her belief, and she just fainted there!

Then, next she opened her eyes in the hospital. The doctor came and asked her questions like ‘Who’s the current Prime Minister?’ And the answers she gave were literally scary. Every answer she gave, made the belief firm that she was stuck back in time, she was left somewhere 23 years back in time.

The doctors suggested this to be a case of Amnesia. But they had never encountered such kind of a case ever before. How could she be transported 23 years ahead directly!! That was crazy. With time, they let her know that this was her life. They showed her lots of photo albums and stuff to bring her memory back. And she tried to accept the changes and move on in life. She started to accept those strangers as her family. In the end, she smiled looking at her wrinkled face in the mirror! :)

But, what made me wonder here was something else. Just imagine, someday you wake up to realise that you’re transported to some another phase in time, some another world. You’re transported 20 years ahead in time, and you have little kids that call you daddy-daddy! How would you react!! 😵

What would your reaction be when you’ll look at yourself in the mirror and realise that the most important 20 years of your life just disappeared like a mist! Like you could have done soo much in that time, but you lost all of it.

And how badly will you miss your people, your favourite things, your friends, but you won’t be able to find anything around. Like you’ve been sent to some far away town! It’s just beyond imaginations! It’s scary!! 😶
